LOL. I think you've already been punished enough. Good luck with the repair.

If you can not get a torx in and turn out the plug, try getting a set of e-z outs that have short ends. Not sure how to describe them, but snap-on makes some. drill first to correct size. if you get the type I am talking about you won't need to go through into case. Then run the bike til hot no torch here if possible. Torches are last resort type tools when it comes to something like this. Aluminum does not give much warning when using a torch, so why take the chance.

Back from my friend's with the table lift and I am happy and on my way w/minimal pain. Got a 45 torx in there after trying too small EZ-outs and the sensor is in. Next time I will quadruple check an probably ask Soos HDV-Glide and msocko3 about the size of the bolt/plug. :-) ;-)

Enough with the BS. You were just looking for an excuse to ride in 30* temps.

Glad you got all squared away. So what were your oil temperature readings?

temps on todays commute low 40's going in to work is a mixed highway surface drive 200 degrees. Home with high 40's and mostly surface 205-210. Both ways is about 30 miles and 40-45 minutes.
