I'd like to have a Heritage Softail Classic... and maybe a Victory Hammer... and maybe a Big Dog... My personal theory is that bikes are like women (for a single guy, that is). You're always looking at someone else's, the one you do have is never totally satisfying, and you're always trying to figure out what it would be like to keep a stable full of 'em.
I have my "08" Classic, for touring, and a "02" Sporster "R" that I put knobby tires on. Use it for running dirt roads, two tracks, and cow paths. A little heavy, but still lots of fun.
Just could'nt bring myself to buying a a Jap dirt bike.
Love my 07 EGC, but also enjoy a quick scoot on my 05 1200 Custom. Two very different rides, which makes me appreciate both of them. If I could only afford one, then the Sporty would have to go.
I've been thinking about a second bike since I got my 07 RKC. I cant seem to make up my mine. First I would love to get a chopper Iron Horse, big Dog and even a custom made one. then I want to build one, buy a kit and put it together. today I visited local HD they had a SE Ultra with all the bells and wistles. Now I am thinking of getting that and turning my RKC into a chopper with a springer porks. I am not sure how difficult it would to convert but I won't deside what to do until I get a bigger picture just how hard it would be to turn the RKC into a chopper for my short rides.
I had an '03 Sporster and an '05 Fatboy at the same time. Hardly rode the Sportster once the Fatboy was in the garage. Sold the Sportster to my FIL. Now I have the Road Glide and it is WAY better than the Fatboy was. I probably wouldn't ride the Fatboy now that I have the '09 Road Glide.
