Easy fix, guys. Go to Wally World and buy a pack of cabinet door bumpers. They make them in round flat cork or round plastic bubble shape. I used the round plastic bubble (clear) version. They have adhesive on the back of them, peel and stick. I stuck one onto the windshield on either end of my windshield bag (total of 6) so the bag would not make contact with the windshield, but the rubber bumper instead. Works just like those used on on a wind deflector on the hood of a truck. Stick them to the hood, the deflector does not rub the paint off of the hood. Same thing with the windhield bag. Stick them on the windshield, the bag no longer rubs the windshield. PACO

Great idea, too late for me but maybe the next wimpshield I git....
Buy some 3m or other clear tape and cut to fit exact size of your pouches. I did this for my stock Street Glide windshoeld and my Long Ride Shield, can barely tell they are there. When doing this make sure you spray a little bit of windex and squeege it out with something. This gets the small bubbles out and it wears great.
HD pouches come with a strip of clear thin rubber with 1 slightly sticky side you stick on the shield. When I get my new shield I will use heavy clear tape.
I hated the windshield tri pouch. It screwed up my windshield, left marks on the inner fairing and rattled. I tried sick on rubber feet and velcro but the rattling drove me nuts. I finally just got rid of it and haven't missed it at all.

I took mine off because of the rattling, too. I tried door weather stripping to cushion it. Still rattled. What worked best was an old black 'T' shirt rolled up and stuffed behind the pouches.
