I had an earlier thread about the chrome front end and wheels I just finished installing, but the bike was filthy when I snapped a couple pics. Temps got above freezing today so I got the bike cleaned up and took a couple better pics.

Those that said a chrome front end really set off the bike were right on... I think it makes a big improvement to the looks of the bike. I got the Weld wheels used, but they are in great shape. I was afraid the combination of progressive springs and 20w screamin eagle fork oil might be too stiff, but I just got back from a 20 mile ride or so, and I hit all the potholes and train tracks I could find and I think I am going to like it just fine. Definately firmer but not harsh. Thanks to all the people on here that posted the how-to's on fork disassmbly/assembly... those posts really helped a lot since I had never torn a set of forks apart before. I am still waiting on my polished rotor to match the wheels, but could not resist snapping these pics today.

very broke now, so chrome rotor and pulley on the back wheel are gonna have to wait.

Looks good. Glad to hear you did the forks on your own. Not that hard. Did it on my old RK, but not yet on the RG. Went with the go instaed of the show.

the cover is from Eastern Performance, the center piece is from arlen ness. I love the look but the cheap chrome is not that great on the football piece. I am debating whether to have it rechromed or replace it with something else...

I have the whole flame thing going too... right down to my ink...
