I had the Chrome Road King High Bar (HD part #) on my 2003 FLHR, on my 2009 FLRH I may do the Heritage bar, I want a little more rise as it feels I am reaching down on my 2009, anybody else?
I have a set of 07 bars in the garage cuz i hated the feel...........like I'm reaching down for beach bars or something. I went with 16" apes and love them. I have a buddy with Chubby 10" on his King and he loves them. almost perfect feel if you don't like high apes. Just a thought
I recently received (thanks to my wonderful wife) a set a 14" apes for my birthday. I'm hoping to start work on them soon. They were the new Cycle Smiths 1 1/4" made for TBW touring models. Can't wait. Just put on the Ness Slam Kit tonight, but won't know how it looks until I get it off the lift and the bags put back on.
Back to the bars, I am 6'-3" and feel that I am reaching for my bars on my 08 Road King. After a couple hundred miles I was starting to feel it in my lower back. After looking at other bikes on the forum and online, I decided on the 14's.
