Default handle bar help

Hello,When i got my 2010 road king the handle bars and seat just were not going to cut it.So igot a mustang touring seat and heritage style road king bars, way better. But the bars are still not quite back far enough.I am thinking about wild1 chubby 12.5 apes and after measuring my heritage style bars am not sure if the wild1s are much taller.I only need a couple more inches to straighten my back and not have to reach as much. Was wanting some advice or oppinions before i fork out the money on the wild one bars, cables, and wiring. Also i am not really into tall apes, and am thinking 14 in is to tall. Please help,Thank you.

Ever consider the chubby RK or RKII bars? I am pondering a set of the RK11 bars instead of apes.

Search around for a set of mini apes with a good pull back. Go to your local dealer and sit on some bikes and see if you can find some that fit you. I hade the taller RK bars on my 99 RK and they hurt my back and shoulders real bad on long hauls. I put a set for 16" apes on it now and just waiting for the snow to go away so I can try it, but sitting on it feels way better. (But I am 6'6" so that's why I say a mini apes with some good pullback might be a good start)

Yup sounds like what I went through. I went with a 14" ape and got the pullback I desperately needed. I am 5-8" with a 31" inseam.

I went with the Wild 1 16" apes. I originally thought 14" would be plenty, but the 16" are perfect. I'm 6-3, long arms, so, depending on your height, 14's might be enough. That being said, you won't regret the apes. The best investment I've made as far as comfort.
