My dealer (Chicago HD) gave me the same information that the MoCo will not cover it. I believe them since they have been VERY good about fixing all my other concerns and even fixing items I didn't think were a problem (Under the extended warranty). It only happens right after washing the bike so I am not going to get crazy about it.

Mine do it too but i just don't care.
Well I DO care....the $$ I paid for my bike I do not expect to have condensation in my gauges...there is no reason for it at all. I prefer to keep my vehicles in good working order and cannot accept the fact that a company that has been in buisness as long as HD expects me to accept something as "****" as this problem. Maybe if all the people who have this type of problem would not just roll over and play dead they would be more apt to fix our warranty problems. By the way... I aleady paid the price when I bought my bike to have it pretty....I just expect it to stay that way longer than 6 months.

Default gauge seal..

I had it in the fuel gauge for a few years untill it finally distroyed the gages electronics. Bought a new one and set it in a jar of dessicant for a week and then covered the back with silcone rubber. That cured that.

That is actually my main concern as to what is going to happen to the gauges down the road from all the moisture.

like most of these responses, mine fog as well and clear after a few minutes of riding. Seems after the warranty runs out so will the functionality of the gauge and your next nickle will be spent on a new guage.

I agree that it shouldn't happen and should be fixed. I haven't checked with my dealer as I've only seen it a couple of times.

The fuel gauge on my Road King fogs up, and the speedo on my softail gets moisture in it. After I ride a few minutes it's gone and I forget about it, but I did ask the dealer and same thing, it's not covered and a new one will do the same thing anyway.

Get used to it and don't sweat the small stuff. If you want to spend the bucks
to replace guages with another brand, you may correct the problem. But if you replace with the same guages it will happpen again. Or you could just park it in the house in the air conditioning and it will never happen again.Just hard to ride very far.

Don't laugh, I dropped my cell phone in the pool and the chick at the store told me to put it in a bag of white rice. The rice will suck up the moisture she said. I did it and it worked. Go figger.
