I do use a jack to lift the wheels. There are some dealers in my area offering 1500 off 08's and 1000 off 09s.
Thanks everyone, it sounds like ABS and security are worth it from your comments I was leaning that way to begin with it really helps to have someone who has experience give their vote of confidence in the product.

luc.who I am out in Columbus ohio maybe I can play your dealers against mine to help me get some price concessions. Which dealers by you were discounting I will call them and have that in my hip pocket when I try to buy local?

I've got the 08, I'd say go for it. The spokes are a PIA to clean but look great on that bike.

I did change to the hard bags though. Kept the original leathers to change up the look on occasion.

I deal with Hannum's in Chadds Ford Pa. They are near Philly. If you want to PM me. I will send you an email with the GMs email address to see if he can make something work for you.

I think I paid around $17 in 2006. Love the bike and I am sure you will too. ABS, why not?

I bought that same bike yesterday. I have ABS & Security. I traded my Sporty under the buy back program so no movement on the price. Although I did get the first service free, and 21 % off of parts. They also got me a interest rate of 5.5% which was 1% better than my CU. That was the best I could fine in my area. I have seen some post with a 4.59 rate. Good luck with the new bike. Let's see the pics when you get it.

Awesome bike and an awesome color combo. The ABS? Why not, nice feature to have. Let us know what you end up doing...

Speaking of the windsheild how is the turbulence with the stock set up on the RKC. On my yamaha roadstar it is bad and i had to work hard, added lowers, adjusted angle and height and finaly have got it to tolerable.

Sasman...I've seen that same bike on the highway - WOW! I know you'll be quite pleased with the Classic, and your color choice is absolutely perfect for that bike. Yes, the WWW's and spoke wheels take a little longer to clean...but who cares? The bike is rolling bling! Actually, I enjoy the time spent cleaning mine.

Keep in mind a couple of things: most RKC owners will change out the bars and seat...the stock ones don't fit well for most of us. You might talk with the dealer about this as part of the deal. Also, buy a motorcycle jack...probably the best $100 bucks you'll spend.

Good luck....and get ready to smile alot.
