I have a cracked headlamp. It still works both on high and low beam. I am not sure if it is just the glass cover that is cracked or is this one complete unit and I have to replace the whole thing?? If so, is there a after product that will work or do I need to break open the wallet and take a bath at the HD dealer again-as always... Thanks
Should be a complete headlamp assemb, There are several aftermarket companies that make replacements, Check J&P cycles to see several and there are many more on line.

and ride safe out there...
Gunny,
The lens is a housing assembly that the bulb fits into. There are some housings out there that are supposed to have better beam focus, but I haven't had enough coffee yet to recall their name.
Well Gunny sadly the expense part of the assembly needs to be replaced. I lost my high-beam once and thought it was a sealed beam and was looking at $95 +/- for the whole assy. Thankfully I found out the bulb was a replacement part.

You can get one of these aftermarket assemblies for about 1/3 the cost of the HD unit. Won't look quite as cool, but works just as well.
