What I do when using my jack is ,, Take jackets rags or anything soft and run the straps right up and over my seat with 2 straps. I have a craftsman jack & have lifted my Ultras alot of times No troubles yet!!! Also have purchased 2 new lift tables EVERYONE out there that is the way to go

For some reason this doesn't surprise me at all.

By the way, when you go to wrench down on their tools be real careful.

Want to ask me how I know????

I've used HF jack for years w no problem, also their allen sockets and other tools with no problem but I'm not a heavy wrench, don't and hope not to have to work on engine or trans. I've changed out all my bolts to chrome and never stripped anything. It's great that so many can buy the most expensive tools but for us that can't, if it aint broke don't fix it. Try buying clothes made in the US.

I've been wrenching for over 35 years now. I've used HF stuff for over 20 years. I have Snap-on, MAC, Cornwell, Craftsman, Blackhawk, and S&K tools in my tool boxes. I also have HF tools. The HF tools have the same lifetime warranty as the rest in my tool boxes, but without the name brand pricing. Sure, some of their stuff is junk (torx bits come to mind). And those tools I buy name brand. But I can't say their motorcycle jack is junk. I needed one and had used their floorjacks for years. So I figured I would try their MC jack. Besides, after comparinig it to others on the market that were priced two and three times more, I could not see any significant differences other than color and price. To each his own. I am absolutely comfortable leaving my ultra on it for weeks at a time while I work through my projects.

Thanks Jakeelwood, I will learn from other misfortune and start strapping mine down when on the jack.

Take care

Good reminder. I always put the stop in place so if the bottlejack gave out it's not moving.

All In all I hate ALL the jacks because none of them fit under the Street Bob without fabricating ramps and junk. Thats the problem with being short and having a low bike. Damn Irish mother!

Default Floor jacks arnt the same

Looked at several jacks. Some were broken at the store and some looked like they were made for kids wagons. Not enough meat in the metal and the welds looked like *%^&**$#@. After reading customer reviews the hydraulic jacks also have seals that go out at the wrong time with no repair kits. The jack i bought was the hd hand crank. It has the metal and welds to hold my ultra that weighs around 900 lbs. And is made in u.s.a. It works for me.

If you force the jack to the top, and continue to pump the jack it will blow the seals... Some people just can't read instructions...

You just can't fix stupid...
