So today I traded in for a 2009 Street Glide in vivid black. Picking it up Thursday morning. Looking forward to many long road trips now with some tunes playing on the stereo along the way. I have read that some don't like the low height windshield but I'll have to wait and see if I want a taller one.
Anyway, glad to be part of the touring family now..........Ride Safe.
I think that you will enjoy this bike quite a bit. I really like the new frame, etc. Handling is really great and will be similar but still an improvement over your Dyna.
My SG may have a problem or four, but I still really like it better than any other bike I have had.
Welcome to the SG world! Make up your own mind about the windshield. I'm 5'11" and don't have any issues on the highway. I think it moves enough of the air out of the way to be just fine the way it is, and I don't have issues with buffeting. Some say they do. It's different for everyone, so like I said, check it out for yourself.
Yea, I'm feelin' a little "bike envy" about now. But with a paid off bike in the garage, and this economy, I just can't justify a new one. As bad as I want it. Ride safe, and consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I hope you got full MSRP on your trade. I just read on here somewhere that dealer was giving full MSRP and cost of Chrome on trade-in if within a year old. Might have been over in the Chat portion of the Forum.
welcome to the SG family. I have no problem with the short windshield and am going to replace my stock one with a black (shorty) one soon and I ride the hell out of my bike.
