We are planning to take a few 4-5 day trips this summer on our Ultra. Looking for luggage to fit my Airwing Tour Rack. Would like to stay around $175 for the bag. Any ideals? Any companies to stay away from?
I would suggest looking at the Nelson Rigg GWR-1000 bag. Nice fit on the rack, lots of room, nice and ridgid with plenty of compartments, waterproof rain cover. www.nelsonrigg.com
What's the solar panel on the GWR-1000 for? I mean what are you charging? Is this there for some kind of cell phone charger or GPS unit charger? Just wondering. Maybe it's so obvious that I just don't get it.
I bought these Iron Riders from Dowco last spring. The look good, work good, and seem to hold up well. I have the main bag, and the Overnight bag. Used them on sepreate bikes, and on just the ultra on a trip with my daughter.
I bought one of these for my Deuce years ago. I could pack 3 days worth of cloths for my self including extra t-shirts, shaving kit, sneaks and slippers but I do pack well. I just hook it to the ultra with the two straps on it and 2 very small bungees on the other side on the hooks. They actually sell a tourpak rack one that attach better. http://www.coolsac.com/ProductGroup....y_code=LUGGAGE
This one is wider but I like the look of the narrower one.
nelson riggs gwr1000 got mine for 120 just as good as the t bag at almost half the price easy in and out without having to undo strapps and nets or cords and the 4 clip hold down goes on or off in seconds it will hold 2 full face helments and a pair of sneaks.
