Take 95 up to the NJ Turnpike up to either Rt. 287 or Rt. 80 West. If you take Rt. 80 follow it to Rt. 17 North to the NYS Thruway North. If you take Rt. 287, it will dump you out onto the NYS Thruway.
The entire route is pretty much major highways except for maybe Rt. 17 in Northern NJ which has some shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, etc. The route will take you on the opposite side of the Hudson River West of NYC.
Google MD to Montgomery, NY were the OCC shop is located.

You guys can ride to Picatinny Arsenal, link up with a crew from up here, then we can lead you up some nice twistys /cool roads through Warwick. Takes about 2 hours from Picatinny to there going the back roads, much faster on the I, but what's the fun in that?
Not an NCO anymore, but we have a bunch of them that ride too including the CSM. Go Ordnance!
If you want I could also build you a ride route, just let me know then give me some time.

Went up there last month. Thats the route I took and it was very easy. Took me about 35 min from where I am located. (in a car)
Easiest and Fastest way:
Take 95 up to the NJ Turnpike up to either Rt. 287 or Rt. 80 West. If you take Rt. 80 follow it to Rt. 17 North to the NYS Thruway North. If you take Rt. 287, it will dump you out onto the NYS Thruway. Route 17 North turns into the Thruway. Their place is right on the Thruway. So big you really cant miss it. When heading up it will be on your left hand side.
You could also take the NJ Tpk north to the Garden State Pkwy. From there to 287 east to route 9W north, which is a nice ride along the Hudson river, Up over Bear mountain into Newberg to Rt. 17K where OCC is.
i know they have gotten the big head the last few yrs, but it gives us something to do. most of will be going back to combat units in Sep of this year. were also talking about going to indian larry's one week end to.
