Flag instead of antenna?

Flag instead of antenna?
Ok, this may seem stupid, but I'm gonna ask anyways. Has anyone removed the antenna (various hidden kits) and used the mount in the back where the original factory antenna was as a flag mount? Is there any sort of stem piece out there that a flag would attach to? I would imagine the flag couldn't be very big though.
Also, any ideas on what the easiest to install antenna kit is? I don't want to lose reception.

i had a flag on my antenna but it got thrashed by the wind was not patriotic
to thrash a flag so i took it off now use a powered unit from auto zone $29.00
mounted under the fairing looks and sounds great-ride safe
