I was looking for the same type and found a H-D jacket on Ebay before Christmas......H-D put them out in about 2001-2002 and called it the "El Camino"......has removable liner, and vented front & back, best of both worlds, good for cold & warm weather riding. Gal I bought it from had a couple more for sale, might do a search and see if anything turns up. I paid $200 for it and it is like new. Good luck.
I have an fxrg and it is so comfortable and warm.....It breaks the wind from coming in and has a removable liner also......the jaket itself doesn't make a person warm as much as how you dress underneath it....especially while riding.....
I use a mid weight leather jacket w/ my H-D heated vest, works to 30 degrees for me. It's comfortable and a lot less bulky. On less cooler days I use my H-D wind stop fleece under my leather jacket. With a mid weight jacket and layers you have more options, than with a heavy leather jacket especially when you are riding all day it allows you to add and remove layers as the temperature changes. just one guys opinion...
I found a price on e-bay from New Rochelle HD 459.99 + shipping.
I went to my local dealer and asked them to price match. After some
discussion they came within 15.00, so I bought it local.
I do not know - the Competition Jacket I have is similar it sounds the the gentlemen above here that said his is breathable and also has the zip out lining. However - mine is also very cumbersome and like I said the weight is incredible. Now I went to an HD Dealer and looked on their sales rack. I paid $250 for it - others that mentioned they had one like mine or had looked at one like mine said it ran about $600. So I got a really great deal. Should be a buyers market out there right now. Keep looking. Perhaps look into off road racing apparel. Might be something there.
Check out Fox Creek Leather. I'm saving up for one of those beautiful jackets! Removable Thinsulate liner etc.
I know the OP asked about H-D leather jackets in particular but I can attest to the warmth of the FCL thinsulate liner. I've been wearing my FCL Classic I every single day since July and find it a wonderful jacket. I didn't think that thin liner would be very warm but in fact it does a great job. I wear a fleece pull-over under it and I'm good down to the low 40's. Below that put a sweatshirt on over the fleece and you're good. No excessive layers required. In my case I ordered a jacket a couple sizes larger than I normally wear so that I could wear a couple layers under it and not feel restricted by a "too-tight" feeling.
In summer it vents well also when you're underway. Very heavy leather (the jacket alone weighs 10 pounds).

I just order the Classic II from Fox Creek to add to my ever growing collection. All my other leathers have the mandarin collar and I wanted something different. I hope the heavy leather is flexible without having alot of breakin time. I have an elec. liner if it really gets cold.
