Hi all,
I have a 04 FLHT that I have put lowers on and was wondering what everyones opinions are of the adjustable wings that mount on the fairing. Do they real do a good job of wind deflection and do they stay in place when you adjust them to different position?
Thanks TT
I use the factory ones all the time on my 08 Ultra. They stay where ever I set them. Fully closed they block the wind nicely, when it's hot you can blast as much wind at you as you would like. I wouldn't be with out them.
I picked up a pair of Freedom Wings (Made in USA) in a closeout bin for next to nothing. They look okay on the bike, and function well enough, although I don't really notice much of a difference in air deflection. Perceived value? I'm not sure; I may take them off and sell them. Anybody interrested?
I got rid of my Freedom wings because they lost a screw from vibration. Went to the Dragon wings and am Very happy with them. The move a lot of air around the driver and can be shut easily while riding. my .02
I've had both on mine and they both work well.......wide open when it's hot I call minie my "air conditioner" as it truly throws a lot of air at ya. I now have the Freedom dark smoke as in my view they look better. Just a matter of which one ya like better.....both good quality products.
