Need Help with Back Rest Problem
Installed new backrest, the bracket has 4 mounting holes used the second set of holes, puts me to close to the tank and Im setting straight up in the seat. Tried to use first set of holes but can't get the seat back down. Was told to adjust the bracket but after looking at the bracket don't see how. As anyone here had this same problem if so how did you adjust the bracket to fit the first set of holes.

I can't address the mounting and the holes available.
Did you consider speeding a few bucks more and get the adjustable back rest. HD's back rest will adjust backwards but not to the front.
I know an after market company that adjust both ways.
But in your case the "adjustable" version from HD might give you what you are looking for.
