Finished my winter project for my bike, all maintenance, couple goodies, detailed and............................covered up.
I still have my wifes bike to do plus the Bike Show next weekend in Cleveland. I'll get through it, always do. Damn tough winter this year though in upper Oh. Maybe we'll get that early spring!
Sun came out Friday and temp climbed to 45 in afternoon. (32 in am) Rode to work...it was like a fix, wanted more. By the time I pulled into my garage the temp had plummeted to 26 and just kept going down to 10 degrees. That's life in Central Indiana. At least we get just enough decent weather that you can ride some.
Then rode the bike to my dealer Saturday for the 15,000 mile checkup on the 08 105th UG. Next 7 days calls for snow/sleet/ice...just generally junk and highs of 34 degrees.
I guess it's a good time to get the work on the ride completed...at least I don't feel like I'm missing something
Its not quite as ugly here but almost as frustrating -
Friday; while we are all at work -65*
Saturday - rain
Today 37* and thats cold for down here.
Tomorrow when we all go back to work 50*! Ahhhhhhhhh! drive ya crazy
Here in Northeast Oklahoma we have had good days and mostly bad. We have a ice storm coming in from the northwest in the next couple of days. Hate to wish my life away but by the end of Feb. it will be getting close to riding the scoot once again. I can hardly wait..............
My mom lives in Ormond - Just North of Daytona. I believe I've convinced my wife (didn't take too much convincing) that its time for our annual winter pilgrimage (with trailer and bike on trailer) in tow... Last summer we down-sized from a Yukon XL to a Honda CRV, so I've been secretly plotting (getting a hitch put on, getting a spare for my light-weight trailer, getting the Pingel removable wheel chock all ready to go). We're pulling the kids from school on a week where they already have monday and friday off! Feb 13th, we're outta here! Two long days of driving and we'll be in 70's +!!! (Assuming they don't have a hard citrus freeze down in Daytona...)
Feeling the same pain all of you Guys are experiencing...Was at a HD store yesterday just to keep me sane and browsed through the store for a good 2.5 hours. Drooling over new bikes, looked at the Multi-Fit and Touring Parts. Ended up buying my Ultra one item which's the Flat Lens Run/Brake Turn Signal Module and Harley Davidson 8" x 10" Picture Frame. Left the store with a smile on my face.
