OK, things are really getting to me now. Winter is getting old. I want so badly to ride it is killing me. We are, or i am, planing a great trip this spring, we will be gone 2 weeks total and almost 4500 miles worth. But this weather SUCKS. Went into the new Laconia Harley today to poke around, lots of nice shiny bikes, kinda like a drug fix. Make it go away.
Tell me about it! Even in South Arkansas it been a cruddy winter, too cold in the mornings to ride to work and then it rains on the weekend, either that or really windy.
All of my buddies are starting to get that pale, withdrawn look and when we talk about riding, we all get that thousand-yard stare and start whining like kids.
But... spring IS right around the corner... take heart!
Hey Buffet Fan, I'm feelin' your pain bro! Same boat here in Montana. I'm seriously into withdrawal. Bad case of Cabin Fever..... Solid Ice about 4 inches thick for 1/4 mile to the paved road from my garage. Nothing but cold in the forecast. This seriously bites!
It's a little too cold to ride today, for me that is (36*) for the high. However, I rode 260 miles yesterday afternoon when the high was 85*. Thas was REALLY good for this old Geezer!
I am and setting aside my 32 degree rule. It will be 28 tomorrow in Maryland and I am RIDING. It's only 10 miles to the closest dealer and they have free coffee to thaw me out. Have a whopping 180 miles on the 09 so far.
