Looking to replace 8" smoked shield I got off ebay with better quality. Shield is inexpensive but scratches way to easy.
Any thoughts on better smoked quality shields?
Thanks
Doug
Don't know if it's what you're looking for, but I have an 8" smoked Clearview shield that I had on my '07 Streetglide. It's the "smoke" tint, not the "dark grey" tint. The smoke is a little lighter. It's got the standard Clearview recurve shape. I just replaced it with a Klockwerks Flare.
It does have a couple of very light scratches on it from one time when I wiped it with a paper towel at a gas station. I imagine they would buff right out, though. But they're so light that they never bothered me enough to do it.
If you're interested, I live pretty close to Royal Palm. We could meet up at Palm Beach Harley or something and I could show it to you.

Asking $45.00 for it.
I think that might be a good idea. It might tide me over for awhile.. Just out of curiosity whay did you switch to Klockwerks as I thought the Clearview was just about everyones favorite?

Basically because I wanted to go with a different look. It was during a couple of rainy, windy weeks and I spent too much time on the internet. I like it, though, but a bit pricey. Both shields are pretty comparable in how the perform.
Just pm me if you want to meet up at Palm Beach HD or somewhere and you can check out the clearview.
Funny, I hated it too when I first saw a pic of one.
It slowly grew on, though. And after I put a 21" front wheel with wrap fender on my Streetglide, I finally decided it might work with the look. Now I really like it.
I would suggest going with a Clearview or Cee Baileys. They are both top quality products and made from very durable material. The Clearview shield you can actually use Rain-X on and it want hurt it.
Another vote for Fastaire. Customer service was great and the price is right. I put the 8" smoke on mine and its better than stock. Still get some wind but the stock sheild is useless unless you are 4 foot 7" of smaller.
