I just picked up an 09 SG and want to lower it about 1" and these look like a good option. Does anyone have experience with these? Is there any risk of damage to the bike?

you are going to get positive and negative feedback on the lowering blocks. If it were just me read through it all and give them a shot, if they don't work for you, you can always sell them. If your trying to get your feet on the ground better, look into getting a 08 seat, they are a 1/2" narrower and a better seat all around.

 

I have them and like them. I also have a 08 FLHX seat for sale if your interested for that 09.

 

I'm assuming the 08 seat will fit the 09?
