Default Power commander V help please

I'm trying to install my PC-V and having trouble getting the wiring "tucked" into the space in front of the battery. Any owners with an 09 Ultra/ABS and security that have done this install? There's not a lot of room in there so once I get the PC-V wiring in there I can't get the battery cover back on. I don't want to stuff it all in there too tightly for fear damaging the harness. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I actually did not remove the battery box only the ECM by using the 2 tabs, pulled it out connected the PCV to ECM and placed the wire ties around it. Then clipped it back into place and connected the bikes connector to the other end of the PCV, then put the box onto the top of the ECM and wire tied it down. Hope the picture helps.

It will go in there. It is real tight to say the least. I know. With a little patience and gentle movement, you can get the harness in there. I worked on it for 30 minutes to get it stuffed in there.

Thanks for the picture. How many miles do you have on your PCV, did the extra added fuel make a big difference in power. thanks

I agree with tzman, its tight, but will fit. I took a dremel to the front of the plastic battery cap - made it easier. I was worried about bending the stock harness in ways it wasn't meant to bend, but all seems well under there for now. I though about coneheads' install, but i need to leave some room for the badlands illuminator i have coming next week. Good luck.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I was finally able to thread that baby in there. But I think something went wrong with the connection. It would actually turn over and start without engaging the clutch? I pulled in the clutch the bike died? Yikes...more drama. I'll take it apart and try again in the morning.

That's really bizarre. The connector goes together only one way, so I'm not sure how that could get screwed up.

You are certainly welcome! I have about 300 miles on mine thus far and it really makes the bike run good with plenty of TQ. I took off today on what was going to be a short ride and 4 hours later I got back home, just a blast to ride this bike!!

I agree, putting it together was a snap. Other than getting the wiring end of things out of the way anyway. Also, when I turn on the ignition the PCV shows a green light, then if I pull in the clutch, as if to hit the start button, the PCV flashes green and red and the start button fails/poweless. dayum!
