How loud are they? I had big radius on my Night Train and they weren't bad, I had V&H touring duals on my Road King and they were a little louder, but not to bad.
I'm not looking for "**** off the neibours" loud, but not a quiet slip on either. I don't see the sound bites on the V&H website anymore.
I love the basic slipons, good throaty sound, plenty loud when you step on them but you don't have to **** off the neighbors unless you want to. I hade them on my 95 and just ordered them for my 09. They look good too.
I have the Basic Slip-Ons on my 08 RKC. Perfect for me - proper Harley sound without attracting the wrong attention from the neighbours or the law! A friend of mine has a FLSTC with Big Radius and his is definately much louder.
I have 8600 miles on Basic Slip-Ons on my 08 Ultra. They have gotten a
little louder with the miles and if you ask me they are getting border line
too loud. Just my opinion..
As long as you ride like a responsible rider you should have no problem with the neighbors. However, if you play they do get loud. I had a set on my UC but it was difficult to hear my tunes so they had to go.

I have slash-downs on my 08 SG and they are perfect. Not too loud, but crackle nicely
when I drop the hammer, and yes the baffels are removeable for re-wrapping.
