Hi guys, I am planning to change my seats on my RK 09 to make it a little beat lower, what's your feedback on the badlander seats & how low can i get on this.
I sold mine a while back. It looked totally cool, but was not very comfortable in my opinion. For short rides, it was ok. The wife completely hated it.
So I went to a road king seat and all is well. But the Badlander looked awesome.
It looks SWEET! I had the leather one on my 99 Fat Boy - nothing compared to the looks. Period.
NOW - the BAD part.
I had it on the entire week of the 100th party - (not the 105th) and while the bike got a TON of looks - I couldn't bare to even look at her after it was over.
It seriously took me 2 weeks to get on it again.
Bottom line: Get it - ride it in small increments, but if you want to put more than 100 miles on it, switch it out, or strap a hemorrhoid doughnut to it.
I have a badlander, seemed to lower me about 2-3 inches. it will put you further away from the controls too. I like that, but depending on your height, it may be an issue for you. I don't have any issue with the comfort, I like it and it feels fine. I have not perched my wife's rear on it yet though since she has been gone
