I believe the '05 mufflers are not low restrict as compared to the '07. The diameter of the outlet on the '05 is actually smaller than the '07 or am I thinking wrong here. I was concerned because the muffler states for use on 1340 and 1450 engines. BTW, it was the '07s that were bored out. Not really looking for an increase in performance, just want to run a little less loud.
checkers & So Cal Pappy thanks for the reply. I did not know
the 07 and later mufflers were less restrictrive I changed for
the same reason as gstep51 my 06 had the pre 06 screamen Eagle
mufflers and they are just to loud. I change back and forth as I as
worse than a old woman when it comes to making up my mind

Nope same size.. I put my Samson Side Dump that I've had on the '01 RKC (before I changed over to RHTD) on my '07 RG... And I have put maybe 30+ other sets of friends '07's & '08's - If you want to go quiet you can put on the OEMs (that are for sale everywhere cheap) or go with the SE... Noice Soft Mellow Sound...
