Yeah.
In this economy...noway could I get even close to what I have in it.
I'd most likely have to strip it and sell parts off it to get a decent amount.
And, it's still "new" to me.
I've only got 3600 miles on it since I gave it the makeover.
It's paid for, isn't costing me anything sitting in the garage.
I ride it, I don't build "trailer queens."
GEEZUS, Fellas!
Stopped in my local dealer today, shootin' the breeze with my salesman friend.
Started talking about the Road Glide.
He shows me his "Delivery Sheet" for Qtr 4.
They have a '09 Screamin Eagle Road Glide that'll be in, in June.
The color they had was the Orange/Black.
He told me he could change the color to the Silver that I'm squirmin' for.
All he needs is a $1000 deposit and it's MINE!
The SERG in Silver/black is certainly one sweet ride. I'd go for it, especially if the dealer will give you a good discount on the extended warranty. Never can tell if it will be a single year run on the SErg, even though they typically run the SE model version for up to 4 years. I'd wonder if the next SE's will be sporting a different engine, possibly a 113 or 117 inch just to get rid of those troublesome cylinders and heads.
I really like the orange and black, but they have the silver sitting on the showroom floor at the dealer here and its sharp as hell it won't last long. Price take said $33, and change. Dam thats alot. My dad thought about he wants it but doesn't want to come off the jack.
and the issue with the CVO motors has him staying away right now. They cant seem to get them just right.

Besides, most of us have bikes we'll never get our money out of; Who are we to tell you not to have 2...................
Bad.. no doubt they are a great bike and it's surely tempting. Only you know what your anticipated future situation is on the financial side of things and with this economy now.. well personally I've come to learn to expect the unexpected lol. Hence the reason I bought the 06 EGC I just picked up. No payments.
