I did not flush either. I use amsoil in engine and trans. Not a problem. I will say the trans took 2 changes to really notice all the benefits. Primary is nothing but an oil bath.

Honestly, I'm not sure how you would know if you did have problems without looking at the oil. When I changed my primary oil from Dyno oil to Synthetic, I ran the bike for about 15 minutes, checked the oil and found that it had turned light brown and foamed a little. So I changed it again. I have read that some additives don't mix well.

Default Amsoil prices too high

I've been an Amsoil fanatic for years , but after buying 5 qts at $12.90 a quart I'm done . Gonna switch to Mobil 1 20/50 V Twin at $8.50 a quart .I run Redline Shockproof heavy in the trans and I think I'll go to ATF # 3 in the primary , clutch is acting up after running 10/40 Amsoil . Change every 3000 so what the hell....

There is no need to flush a new engine, ever. AMSOIL should take that right out of their litterature. The only time you should fluch an engine is if it is over 10 years old or has 100,000 miles on it or more, or has 30,000 miles on it and has never had an oil change.

Just change your oil as normal, and you will be fine

The bike I did not flush, and have been using Amsoil the last couple changes with no issues.... I did flush my car when I changed to Amsoil last fall...I guess "just because"....

Because my shop carries Shockproof Heavy, MTL from Redline but not engine oil and they carry Amsoil 20/50 So I just get it there.
