Locks for Quick Detach

I bought a lock for the hardware for my quick detach tour pack but when I put it on I cannot get the key to the lock to unlock it,has anyone had this problem where the key seems to be to long to fit into the space provided? Any info PLEASE!!!!

Yeah, it's funny that way. There is a small warning that says something to the effect "Not for use with a tourpack." You can use it for sissybars and luggage racks and the like. Now, I have it on my tourpack and have yet to do this to the key, but someone has said you have to heat the key and bend the arma little to make it clear the trunk bottom

Good advice, glad it was mentioned, I have a pair and was thinking about using them on the tour pak.

The redicules part of this is the tour pack is one of the most expensive parts to protect

When bending DO NOT HOLD THE BARREL END. It can break off fairly easily. I just cut mine off straight and stow them under the mat in the Tourpak. I always lock up when away from the bike...
