the laydown lenses are about a 1-1/2" shorter than stock lenses so maybe being that close will cause it have'nt heard back from j&p cycles yet. __________________
Yep. With a stock bulb in a lay down lens, the bulb is actually up against the lens. Don't ask me how I know
(Actually I know because after I melted the second one, I cut it in half to see. )
I had a laydown from Kuryakyn on my last bike for 6 or seven years and never had a problem. It wasn't smoked, it was red. Maybe they use different material for the smoked ones.
I quit buying from these folks. Everything I've gotten from them has a Chinese label on it and is sub standard quality, especially the chrome.
