Is there a significant improvement in braking when fitting four-pot billet calipers? Performance Machine,Wilwood,Harrison Billet all do really nice looking ones but are pretty expensive over here,so they'd need to be a big improvement over stock. Also,if fitting six-pot calipers, would I need a larger front master cylinder?
I have an 07 FLHT with pre Brembo brakes.
It depends if you have the Brembo's already. I found the Brembos to be great, especially the anti lock version. I have the PM 6 piston on the front (single disc) and 4 piston on the rear. When compared to the stockers on the wife's sporty there is not comparison. I also have steel braided lines on the front.
The performance machines are the best!! had them on a few of my other bikes!
Not so fast...
I run PM's as well.
But I wouldn't hesitate one second to install HHI, Hawg Halters brakes.
Those are every bit as good as PM.
Joker Machine makes a nice brake, as well as Brembo.
Actually, the Brembo may be the best of the lot.
Ever see what vehicles sport Brembo's?
Brembo's wouldn't be on $100K+ cars if they weren't the best out there.
