Default Tune Trapper Installation Question

I just rec'd the Tune Trapper inner-fairing antenna (model TT2C2). Question...there is only a small piece of double-sided tape. Is that a sufficient way to mount so that the antenna stays put? Thanks!

I just set it on top of my radio and put the fairing back on. it never moved. I bought the longer of the 2 though.

I never used the 2 sided tape. I used 2 zip ties and tied it to the 2 brackets above the radio. That way I know that it will never move.

Thanks for the advice. I used zip ties, and worked like a charm. This was a simple upgrade...now I just have to await the plug for the rear fender (it was a whopping $1.89 from my HD dealer, but they didn't have any in stock).

On a related note...the front center brass insert was lose when I removed the fairing. I am 99% sure that I did not break it free when removing the fairing (I may have done it in the past when installing a different windshield).

Does anyone know the part number to the brass inserts? Or is there a way to re-secure the one that came out?

I drilled holes on the 2 flanges on the inner fairing and slipped it in. This forces a slight curve to the antenna that holds it right in place.
