Anybody who has put bagger bars on a batwing bike, did you need a longer clutch cable/brake line? Wildones emailed me and said I needed 4" over, Custom chrome, is supplying me with the bars says no extra length needed. I have not been able to locate a 4" over clutch cable, only 6". What did you do? The bars I want are WO575's
Thanks in advance.
I can't remember exactly how long over stock I went with as it's been a few years since I put the 575's on the bike. I would go with the 4" over on the clutch. I also replaced the brake line and throttle/idle cables with S/S ones when I did the job. I went with a longer brake line (upper) than stock, probably about 4" on it also. Some have said no need to go longer on the cables, but I disagree. Not sure what year bike you have, but on my 06' SG I needed longer everything. Your handlebar wires should be fine without any extensions.
When you get the old bars off, can you stack the old and new bars together and take a few pics for me from a few different angles? I am looking at replacing my stock 09 FLHX bars with the same WO575 bars, and I'd like to see how they compare. My bars are already rolled back about 15 degrees, but I want a bit wider, higher, and further back and the WO575s seem like the ticket.
I installed WO 575 Bars summer 2008. They required 4" over stock clutch cable. Check out the site. If you have questions call the ordering number. The salesmen answering the phone are very knowledgable and helpful. Love the bars.

+6 on clutch, +4 on brake/throttle is what I used..been a while but going from memory.
There are some that say you can use stock length cables, but they are way too tight and I would no recommend trying it.
I put the bagger bars on in September and my local dealer used the same clutch cable they use for the Harley pull back bars. (don't recall how long over stock that was).
went with 6 over on clutch and 4 on brake also. I did replace my throttle cables to match but I don't think you have to, no extensions on wires, plenty of slack. Got to ride today first time with 575's, and love them. Finally have found the bars that fit me......after 3 tries!
I'm in the same boat that you are in . I am wanting to install 575's on my Ultra but get conflicting information. I called Wild 1's and they said that only the 4" over clutch cable is needed and no other cables.
