Leonidas,
1 1/4" bolts not 1 1/2", if you use 1 1/2 it will go all the way thru and scar the chrome on the muffler and use a chrome or stainless lock washer on top. I double checked my PM to Cloud09King just to make sure I didn't tell him wrong.
So today I went to just about every hardware store in Toronto and found absolutely no spacers. After this realization I called the dealer that I bought the slip-ons from and told them of the clearance issue. The guy on the phone tells me that they have installed a number of these pipes on 09 touring bikes and have had 0 issues with them whatsoever and asked me if I want to bring the bike in for them to check it out, which I reply no.... so then he asks me if I want to talk to one of the mechanics in service to tell him my issue, so I said sure. The guy I spoke to is a guy I've known and ride with for a few years now and he tells me that he had been fabricating spacers for the guy who was installing them on all the 09's... what a bunch of bs... they had '0' issues with the installs?? yeah, right... so lucky me.. he just happened to have a few spacers and bolts kicking around and told me I could come grab em
So after rushing there and back, I installed my slip-ons... my spacers are about 1/2" length but there is more then enough clearance (I set the bike up on the lift with shocks fully decompressed and still had between 1/8" -1/4" clearance). I started her up to hear her new bark just briefly (didn't want to let her run without the PCV for long) and I gotto say I'm liking the sound my Harley finally sounds like a Harley
I just wanted to thank you guys, I really appreciate all the help.

Man, I'm jealous!...still waiting for my spacers to come in the mail from Fastenal! Should arrive tomorrow though. Glad to hear you got your pipes on OK with good clearance & glad we all got this issue resolved! Did you use the original nuts that came with the Rineharts or did you get new Stainless Steel nuts too?

I used the nuts that came from Rinehart, you can't really see them where they sit in the bracket on the muffler anyway
Did you end up using any high temp silicone at all?
At first I just wanted to install everything and make sure the fit was fine, then I was going to pull them off, apply silicone, and reassemble. However, the fit is pretty tight right now, no leaks, and I was advised that if I didn't have to use it then I should avoid it.... just makes it easier to take off if i want something else down the road ( like true duals ).... FYI - after taking off the stock pipes I noticed that there was no silicone used on those either.
I still may add it after, I haven't decided yet... doesn't seem like it needs it though.
