I know this thread is a bit old, but I'm having a similar issue. However, buzzing decreases as acceleration decreases. The problem I notice with this thread is that everyone is using ground loop isolators. Sure, that gets rid of a problem, but it does not solve the main issue, which is a bad ground. Anyone able to fix their issues without a ground loop isolator?

Its not exactly a bad ground, by my understanding its a difference in ground. If all accessories aren't grounded to the same point, then the potential for this ground loop is created. There are countless articles online about what causes ground loops, and honestly alot of them go way over my head an are written mainly for the tech guys installing high end home audio equipment. You can try making sure all your accessories are grounded to the exact same spot, and this should lessen the problem although may not stop it completely due to resistance of wiring, length of that wiring, etc etc etc.

Yeah, I'm in to Ham Radio so I have some experience with ground potential and how it is important to make sure ALL of your equipment is connected to a common ground. The same principal falls under mobile electronics. Loose ground connections are a major player in this. I was just curious if anyone found a common problem with our bikes that is causing this issue. I guess it's time to take out the ohm-meter and check out the ground on my radio's connection. What I hear on mine appears to be somehow involved with the ignition system or a stator as the noise goes down as my engine rpm's go down.

initially i thought i was getting some interference from the ignition system as well, because i had the same symptoms. as the rmps of the motor increased so did the frequency of the buzz. To be honest, since the ground loop isolator solved the problem, i really didn't worry about it too much more.
