The Softail Heritage bars I tried where with risers. Are they originally allways? Result without risers (in my RKC) was not the same, although better than original. I'm 6' 2" and I still have to lean forward...

Short arms maybe... ;-)

I trip on that picture every time I see it! Makes me think of the ride like a pro class. I have the Wild 1's RK pull backs, made a big difference, no more back pain.

Tried the Heritage Classic Bars and didn't like the way my wrists set; check out the Flander's website

Is this a DIY job for an 09 RK? The dealer tries to scare me with the complexity of the fly-by-wire stuff. There's a great write-up elsewhere here, but it covers an earlier model.

the FBW throttle makes it way easier now. if you need to extend our wires go with NAMZ wiring. They got extensions made that just plug right into the small green plug inside the bars. just remove unlplug your existing harness and plug in the new ones. Im putting 16 apes on my bike and the dealership wanted 1300. got it done myself and 400 on bars and cables and wire.

On the newer '08 & '09 RKC and at 6'2" or 6'3" your arms should be 33"-35" and you shouldn't be having to lean forward on that bike. I am 6'5" with a 35" sleeve and the stock RKC bars fit me fine. Now my 2000 RKC I was forward and had to change those bars out. Also in your pic you don't look like you are leaning forward, it looks like the natural riding position.
