Primary chain adj shoe

I have read a lot of discussions about the cam shoes wearing/ chipping. What about the chain shoe on the primary in my 06 Ultra? How often do they need replaced? Once my bike had 5,000 miles on it, it has stayed the same. Now, after 30,000 it's still the same, without readjusting it. Do they wear as badly as the cam ones?

From my understanding these aren't real heavy wear items like the cam shoes. I've never heard one person complain about excessive wear on these. The good thing about the '06 is that it's real easy to inspect these unlike the inner cam shoe.

A primary shoe is usually good for near or more than 100k miles. In 73k miles, I have only had to adjust my primary chain one time.
