I thought about buying one of these only because I thought it might add to visibility--i.e. make the bike easier to see from the front. A friend had the light strip and after looking at it in daylight I decided they weren't bright enough to make much if any difference in visibility, although at night they likely would be quite visible. About 99% of my riding is in daylight so I decided against buying the kit since I had no other reason to want it.

I installed mine last year and really makes the bike stand out.
I also added for more visibility, especially have the added blinker to hopefully have one less person say "I didn't see you".

Don't worry, I understand. When I saw your reply about being SHOCKED, I almost blew my iced tea out my nose. It's like I could hear ya saying it.

Sorry about hi-jacking the thread, but, ya know I just can't help self when some says L.E.D.!

OK, I'm gonna take a ride through Area 51 tonight with all of my lights on - watch the news. :0

Hey, you are definately the man when it comes to LEDs. I put the Radiantz LEDs in my rear turn signals, and my rear fender light with the brake light conversion. Other than having to shave down the contact to get it to fit the socket on the fender light, i couldn't be happier. I'm glad you are here to show us all the way! (and sorry for assisting in hijacking this thread!)

You are right !
I bought it for my 07 Ultra when they first came out and actually have an extra one that
I thought the Wife would want installed on her 07 Street Glide. I installed mine 1st and
I like the look but during the day they are not all that bright. The Wife decided she did
not want one on her bike so I didn't return the Wife's because I figured if the lights blew
out on mine I would have one to replace it with. As for drilling a hole ..... I had to on my bike.
Unless there is a hole already there on the 08's & 09's already then yes you have to drill
a hole for the wiring. If later on you take it off one of the regular non-lighted windshield
trims will cover the hole. As for the electricial load, their LED's so it isn't an issue.

Rob ....

I have the lighted windshield and the lighted mirrors. Exspensive but good quality. I get a lot thumbs up on this combo.
