Much appreciated! Did you do the install of the Rineharts yourself? I saw a recent thread discussion some potential difficulties in the right side pipe for 09 models due to the axle bolt.

I could not find the sound bite. I have seen them in years past on that site but I did not see anything just now.

Yes, that was my post. I am going to put them on myself. It's strange because some guys are not having a problem installing theirs & some are? On my bike in particular, there is no way I can get the muffler on without using a 3/4 inch spacer. I haven't attempted the left side yet, but I'm obviously going to use the spacers on each side to make it look uniformed. Not a big deal, just an inconvience.

That surprises me - I looked at the VH online instructions, and they have the indentation, which is similar to the HD stock pipes. I recall that the Jackpot Dyno tuned pipes do not have an indent (they are specifically makred to say which is the RH side). Go figure - it may be worth checking with Rinehart/Bub to see what they think.

They sound great low and loud but it gets kinda old after a couple of hundred miles on the highway.

Already did. Rinehart makes & offered me a spacer kit for this issue free of charge. However, the spacer that they offer you is only 3/8 of an inch & really not long enough to give you complete peace-of-mind as this size would just barely clear the rear axle nut by a hair. I ordered 3/4 of an inch spacers like other members on this board have to feel a bit better about the amount of clearance. Obviously if they're making spacer kits for it then I'm sure several others have encountered this problem too. I guess it' just an '09 H-D problem on just certain models? I hear '09 Street Glides don't have this clearance issue?

8,600 miles on my Vance & Hines Basics on 08 Ultra Classic. They are getting border-line
loud.. They pull very good power on the dyno.

I now have heard a sound clip for the VH Tapered Slash Cut Slip-ons. I like what I heard. Anyone have these? Most seem to have the Basic.
