Default Lowers on fork

Anyone have any thoughts about putting the chrome fork lowers on my bagger, I hear they work
well , but I am wondering about the engine temp in the warmer weather....

Chrome fork lowers are not affected by either heat or warm weather. I bought mine on Ebay and they work great, and look nice! If you are to change them, might as well replace all seals and put new oil in too! Make sure you add the chrome upper fork covers as well. They look good together.

Are you talking about lower fork sliders or lower fairing.

they suck...........I ran a pair during the winter and hated them. Now that summer is here, the windshield is gone and Iam in the wind.

That being said, I'll probably put them back on next winter, and ride with them. But come spring, they will be off again. That's the nice thing about a KING, your not stuck with the same old bike thru the season's

Seahag;
I like mine too but take them off in the spring. How do you like them in the summer months? Or in the rain? Help any keeping the water from drifting up behind the fairing? They really help extend my riding season and if they would help keep the rain off I'll try keeping them on this summer.

Honestly, its been so long since I had them off, I couldn't give you a accurate opinion on which works better in those situations. I don't have the hard lower fairings like you do either...so if you are leaving them on during the summer, you would have different results. I can say that I don't have problems with rain coming up behind the fairing at all. In fact my tank and dash will stay dry until the rain starts coming down hard.

They are really pretty easy to install...so my advice is to try it out as the weather gets warmer and remove them if you don't like them.
