Finally hit a stretch of warm weather out here. Went to pick up the new 09 Street Glide I bought in Janurary. Wow!!! what a huge difference than my old 01 Heritage. One thing that I found tiresome was the handlebars. Almost seems like you have to lean forward to hold them. Almost like they are too short. Im 6' 4' and it was tough for me.
Question is I had the Heritage and installed risers on the bars, they worked great for me. Can risers be installed on the glide? I see the fairing would be the biggest problem. I know alot of members have gone with new bars. Seeing as I just got the bike from the dealer and they are talking snow again, dont see me getting it to the dealer anytime soon for new bars. And once the warm weather hits, I definately dont ant it shacked up in the service dept when I could be logging some serious miles.
So anyone know if it can be done and if so what size?
