I have a 2005 electrglide classic and the other day i was riding with a friend, a '99 electrglide classic, after an hour of riding, we switched bikes. His seemed much smoother as far as vibration. I was told the rubber mounts on my bike were much stiffer and with a few miles, it would soften and should get smoother. Is it true? My wife claims there is lots of vibration on the back. This is my first rubber mount harley so I have nothing to compare it to other than my buddy's bike.

This is the first I've heard of this. I've had several Ultra's and now am riding a Roadglide. The vibration usually quits around 2000 RPMs. The counter balanced softails are even smoother. I'd have it checked out just in case.
