sketchers waterproof- wear them to work almost everyday and they are comfortable. I have 2 pairs of HD- one pair is to uncomfortable and the other pair has to much bling- simpler is better IMHO
I had some HD Haven boots that i LOVED, but i wore teh soles out of them. They were unfortunately discontinued so i had to experiment. Currently i'm wearing some CAT workman's boots and they fit the bill well.
I have a pair of Frye harness boots. These are by far the most comfortable boots I have ever put on my feet. I tried the HD and some others and they just don't cut it after a long day on the scoot. The Fryes give you miles of comfort and durability. Mine are 6 years old and still going strong.
I really like my Chippewa motorcycle boots. Very comfortable, very heavy duty, and made in the USA. I also have a pair of HD boots that look like cowboy boots. Not sure if HD makes them any more but I like them because they don't look like typical motorcycle boots.
I wear work boots from Sears that were called out with the Craftsman name with the steel toes and they are black. I've always used simple work boots nothing expensive.
I've tried several different types, from Chippawa to HD to Cat...I bought a pair of Doc Martens on sale at the mall back last fall, and have absolutely fallen in love with them. I admit, they're goofy looking, and I haven't worn them while riding in the rain so I don't know about their waterproofing, but they're probably the most comfortable leather boot I've ever had on my feet. The only ones that come close would be the Justin work boots...
I can't BELIEVE nobody has mentioned Dr. Martens boots!
I wear them every day, all day, riding or not. I used to wear New Balance athletic shoes for everyday wear but now, my bike shoes are my everyday shoes.
They have insoles that are very supportive & mold to your foot.
And they look badAZZ too!!
Go try some on in a mall store & then find them for half the price on e-Bay.
