Default Monster Ovals Question

I have an 09 RKC and wondering how far do you do you slide the MO on? I'm asking this is because the bracket that holds them up in the back is hitting the saddle bags.
Thanks

If I understand the question, it should slide on until it touches the heat shield. Not sure I understand what is touching the bag. The bracket is under the bag holder.

I'm confused on how the bracket can be hitting the saddlebags ??
