Default 1984 flh good deal or not?

I found an 1984 FLH shovelhead 11,000 miles, in very good condition for $6500
is this a good deal, or is seller just asking price that is fair and am I asking for problems?

without pics who knows? its a fair price if its mint, shovels will go up in value eventually, but evos are better if you don't want to wrench and just ride

If that is a good running no issues bike that is about the avg going price you usually see. If you want a shovel. There is nothing like them but it will require work to keep it running and keep all the nuts and bolts tight.

The motrocycle looks to be in excellent condition. But my question exactly! with 11,000 miles, what kind of maintanance cost or rebuild cost am I looking at in the near future.

Default FLH Shovel

Some folks don't care for Shovel Heads but when I started riding thats what everybody had and you usually built your own! Myself I like them, if there tuned right and you realize their limitations they can last a long time and be nice bikes. But before you even get started don't take anybody's word have the numbers checked and do everything possible to make sure the bike is legal!! I know more than one guy that got a " Great Deal " only to find out later on the bike had been stolen some years before, then guess what your " Screwed "
