Man, you guys sure know how to make a guy feel good. I REALLY appreciate all of the compliments. When I see appreciation like this, it takes away all of the pain of being broke. hehehe Like someone else said, everyone has different tastes and thats what sets us all apart. It nice to check out othere peoples perception of awesome. This is mine! Thanks again! John
This is a good thread to emphasize that everyone here has different tastes. Some you like, some you don't. But I for one, try to respect everyone's taste. Even if I think it's out there on the edge of sanity. I'm sure there are those that feel the same way about my scoot. So to all, fringe, flames, blacked out, scallops, two tone, nostalgia, it's all good. The diversity is what makes this Forum what it is! Fringe? Not so much for me these days, but back in the 60's, oh YEAH......Clutch, Brake, grips, jacket, gloves, chaps, How about Hopper in Easy Rider? It's all good....

I agree with you. If all motorcycles were basically the same, it would be no fun at all when you go to rallies and look at bikes, or seeing them anywhere. It would be boring. Half the fun my husband and I have at rallies is walking by all the bikes and looking at all the different ones, how they are all customized just the way each individual wants. Same for people. If we were all the same, would be a boring world.

You all are exactly right and this is what riding an HD is all about - camaraderie.
Thats why Shrink had to go to all those LEDs, if they were incandescent bulbs, might have caught all that fringe on fire, and he'd be going down the road looking like Ghost Rider!
I had fringe on my bike for a while but it keep flying up and getting caught in my 8 track. Last time it happened, I had to listen to the Partridge Family for a week until I could get it untangled.
Seriously tho, a friend of mine has fringe on his Road King, and while it ain't my style, anybody who can ride a bike like he can, can hang any damn thing they want on it!
But I gotta say, the thing I kinda like are the braided leather wraps on the levers. But then again, that's just me.
