Thats why Shrink had to go to all those LEDs, if they were incandescent bulbs, might have caught all that fringe on fire, and he'd be going down the road looking like Ghost Rider!
AND I don't have to carry a car battery around anymore, hehe.
anyone using leather fringe on their bike? I've been learning leatherworking and am looking for some ideas.
Some of the coolest bikes I've ever seen had fringe somewhere on the bike. Yours would lend itself well to that look. Go for it and please make sure to post some pictures!
You can probably find them online, but with fringe, quality is number 1. It has to be heavy or it will look like junk.
Here is a number to my local leather shop. He doesn't have a website, but everything you see on my Ultra came from him. It's better and heavier than the stuff Chilhowee sells.

Way back when I first joined this forum a couple guys gave me sheet about being 'gay'...blah, blah...for having fringe on my bike. Finally, hearing enough I caved in and took it all off. Here's what I have to say to them now; 'Bite Me!'.
I still like fringe and on certain bikes think it looks great. Here are two companies that have some of the best:
There were always two things I disliked on biles.. 1 lots of lights & 2 fringe. That said I love Shrinks bike that is by far the BADDEST Ultra Ive seen. If my king had hard bags fringe would have saved my almost 6k on my Fat Baggers kit.
BTW matter of fact it is my desktop background .
Before i bought my bike i bought the book harley davidson the first hundered years and seeing the history of the bike i appreciate the look although i dont have them on my bike.
Thank you ALL for the kind words. I think I could convert some of the "con" people if they were to see this beast in person.
Thanks Again!
I doubt that very much, but to each his own. Personally I don't like fringe at all and I think it looks Butt Fugly but that's only my opinion. If you like it that's all that matters since it's your bike.
