One thing is for sure, looks like people either love it or hate it. I still love it!
Oh yeah and the "secret" is - it makes the girls h@rny when the fringes slap them while riding.
Leo - not sure how many "fringes" are on it. Some time when I have too much time, I'll count the fringe and LED's.
To all of the fringe supporters - Thank You!
To all of the non-supporters - nah, nah, nah I can't hear you, (fingers in ears). I'll still stop to help you when you're on the side of the road broken down.
Way back in the fiftys a guy in my neighborhood had a big harley with all kinds of lights and fringe, even had his name spelled out in little glass rubys on the back of his big buddy seat. My friends and I thought that was the coolest looking motorcycle we had ever seen.Big fringed bags. Big windshield with the bottom half tinted blue. More lights than a xmas tree.
The guy wore levis with the cuffs rolled up showing the blue stripe on the inside, thats how you let everyone no they were levis. white t shirt sleves rolled up with a pack of luckystrike cigs.tucked in the sleave.and a big old motorcycle cap on his head. He would get off his bike and strut by us and nod his head at us. We would go home and get our bicycles and try to act like him. We would put playing cards in our spokes to make the sound of a harley. Tried ballons they sounded better but would bust pretty fast. We would take the shostrings from our keds and hang them on our hand grips like fringe.
To this day when i see abike like that it makes me smile. So keep the fringe. It still looks cool.

Lefty,
IMO, since on our bikes have an "old school" feel already, fringe works if that's what floats your boat. Thinkin' about some clutch/brake lever fringe myself.
