Default Speedo recalibration
I put a 18 x 200 tire on the back of my 09 SG. The speedo is a little off and my dealer told me there is no way to recal the speedo to the correct reading. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

A buddy of mine put a smaller rear sprocket on his SG and had the same problem. No way to recalibrate.

I read about some gadget on here for for getting the speedo accurate. Do a search or wait around till someone knows the answer.

Yeah, I looked at that but the DD is for 2006 and earlier. I think I might be SOL.

I thought S&S had a speedo recalibrator, but don't know if it works for 2009.

Sorry, I didn't pay any attention to year models but I think that might only apply to the connectors. If you notice, the one for the metrics is just bare wires. It might be more of a hassle to wire up, but unless Harley has done something drastic, wiring wise, I'd think there's chance that it would work. At the very least, give em a call and ask. You've got nothing to loose.

If you ever decide to change tuners, the TTS Mastertune has the ability to make changes to your speedo calibration.
