Smoothing Stock Wheels(Ultra)
I am considering buying a set of used wheels and making them smooth, and have them powder coated(found a place that will blast them and coat them for 35.00 a wheel). My question is: How long a process is it to smooth the stock wheel out? I know I have seen someone on here say they did this...

I've never done it...but, I doubt you get them very smooth.
The stock wheels are cast.
Very pourous metal.
At least they were very pourous on the Rocker wheels I seen at a chrome shop.
I'd assume they're the same across the board.

I guess smoothing wasn't exactly what I meant. There is a decorative(for a lack of better word)on the rim just below the spokes. I want to grind or sand that off and any other bumps, etc that might show when powdercoated...Guess the only way I will know for sure is maybe go to a motorcylce junk yard and find a damaged wheel to experiment with..
