Oh, there's always a chance of precipitation around here. It'll either be nice or the sky will open up completely, but there's a chance either way.
However, I'm guessing it'll be mostly nice, dry and sunny. We have a line of thunderstorms coming through today with a cold front, and another one due on Sunday. We haven't really had anything hang around. It's mostly just stuff moving through lately.
Hey being in Daytona for Bikeweek in the rain is better than being at home in the sunshine !! That's why GOD created rain suits. I'm always there twice a year at least (Bikeweek & Biketoberfest). I live in Tallahassee, Fl so I usually catch the weather before it gets to you !!!
I don't see how some of you guys do it out there with no helmet. Stuff hitting your face, lots of wind noise, no protection from the cold. I love my Arai helmets. It's like a wrap-around pillow.
I don't see how some of you guys do it out there with a full face. Fogging up the visor, muffled sounds, excessive sweating in the heat. I love not wearing a helmet. It's like I'm actually connected with the world.

Well, your assumptions are incorrect. I don't have a problem with fogging. The wind noise gets muffled, but I have very great sound from the engine and vehicles nearby. The heat is uncomfortable when I stop at a traffic light here in Florida, but it's fine while I'm moving and the breeze flows through the vents.
It sounds to me as though your experience is either with VERY old full face helmets from the 70's, or non-existent. As for the connection, let's hope you never truly connect your head with something a helmet could've blocked (sand, sunburn, bugs, rocks, rain, birds, asphalt, concrete, etc.).
I now always wear a helmet. When it is hot I will wear a 1/2 and when it is cold or rainy I wear my full. I have the como system in my full and it is nice and quiter to lissen to my tunes or use the navigation system.
I used to never wear a helmet...hell I used to race down the road half naked at 100mphs, but that was a long time ago. Now that I am older and have been a nurse for nearly 19 years I have seen enough to know better.
But back to what you where talking about, I really don't believe your helmet will stop the rain and splash getting into your face, and I think the last thing you would want while going down the hwy is a car hitting a mud puddle and it hitting you on your face and eyes. It is pretty scary being blinded while you are riding your bike, even for a few seconds. With a full helmet you just wipe over your visor with your shirt and your good to go.

I have a new full face and it fogs up in wet conditions, even with the vents open I need to keep the visor open a bit. I almost never wear a helmet, and if I have to go to a state that requires one, I wear my 1/2 helmet.
fine looking helmet. i dont know why people bother preaching the virtues of a helmet... everybody knows what they do, some people choose not to wear them...certainly nothing i can do (or care to do) about that

No kidding! He was just showing his helmet not asking for any helmet vs no helmet, full face vs 3/4 vs 1/2.
